BALL WEEKEND 2024

COTDC NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 2024

 

Welcome back to dancing in 2024.  Hope all members, family and friends had a lovely break over the Christmas and New Year period.

Dancing is now back at most venues in Canberra and COTDC is no exception.  Our first Thursday Club night is on 1st Feb with our first lesson being the Ja-Mambo.  The socials start on Saturday the 10th of February and Sunday Tea Dance is on 25th February.

This year we will be continuing with lessons on Thursdays starting at 6.45pm till 7.25pm.  The dancing will be from 7.30pm to 10pm.  Saturday Socials will be from 7pm to 10.30pm and Sunday Tea Dances from 2 to 5pm.

We hope you can join us at one or all of our monthly events.

2024 BALL

Arrangements for the Ball are well underway and tickets will be on sale very soon.  In the meantime put into your calendar the dates to make sure you don’t miss out on a wonderful  4 days of dancing.  June Thursday 6th, Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th.  The theme for Friday night is the 1980’s and the Ball night will be Silver and Black formal theme.

 

ROSTERS

We need lots of helpers throughout the year to have a club like COTDC running smoothly.  There will be a sheet for you to put your name down to volunteer.  We ask that members try to give us at least one event a month, either a Thursday night or one of the socials.  If everyone does that then the same handful of Committee member won’t need to do it all.  The Committee members are there to dance too.  So please put your name down to help out.
